So, its been awhile since I last had time to post. I am going to be working on bringing everyone up to speed with what has happened since school started, but for now I want to blog about how inconsiderate people are. For starters, when I walked in the quad this morning and tripped over a bag a trash that someone left in the middle of the living room. I had about five min till I had to leave for work and I spent most of that time picking up a bag full of candy wrappers, empty pop bottles, and picking up candy and wrappers up off the floor. I also ended up dumping Starbucks coffee containers and other drinks down the bathroom sink. It finish up I moved all the chairs and tables back to where they belong. of this at 7:30am really pissed me off. I don't understand why people can't (in this case the APhi Jr.'s) take all their own trash and at least put it in the trash can?! Why?? Because this would require too much energy and be so troublesome. To top it off, when I got back I found out that the bathroom light is out and no one took the time to file a maintenance form to get it fixed. So, now not only do I have to find and submit the form but I also have to pee in the dark. Arg!!!
Sorry, I just needed to vent and this was the easiest and had the least negative outcome.
I'll try to be more upbeat on the next one

Goodbyes
Well, this week has been full of goodbyes. I'm not a big fan of them. During these times, i feel sad and lost....which is not a good thing. I don't like the fact that during the summer we all get so close and then at the end we split our separate ways. Its a depressing fact that no one likes. But, this is a start to a new beginning. We are heading in the direction of our future goals.
You have Joy, who just left home for college for the first time....as i have been told, she is already having a blast. I'm happy for her but its a change i will have to get used to. In high school, joy and i were always together. We had the same classes, lunch, were in band together, and played at basketball games, and concerts together. She was and still is a great friend. I can count on her for anything and for being there for me in times of trial. I will miss her a lot but she is on her path to becoming an engineer. :)
Then you have Ivy, who is also another great friend. She was one who was always having the boy problems. We girls always try to help when we can. But it was an all time thing. lol But now she is happily engaged to a nice guy named, Ethan, and she seems the happiest I can remember. I'm happy for her and can't wait to be in her wedding. She is one i can count on to be loud (even when you don't want her to be....such as this past Monday at the canoe place waiting for the bus...lol Amber knows what i mean). Ivy is also one to always want to try something new. You can count on her for adventure and fun! :) But i know that if there were ever anytime that i needed her, she would be right there for me.
Now for Amber, she is a great friend. I can tell this girl anything and we just have a fun time. We have had soooo many good times and memories together. Even tho she is far away in a land called Arr-Kansas, we still manage to find the time to talk on the phone or chat several times a day. I can't even begin to describe this girl. She is awesome. Amber is also so into her faith, which has kept me grounded on my spiritual path. She is someone who you can be yourself with and not worry about being judged. She is also tons of fun to go shopping with.....you haven't been shopping till you go with her. Today we were packing for her travel to Harding, which is a sad event its self, and we ended up laying on the floor just talking and laughing. It was great. But the saddest part was telling her goodbye and she made me cry by crying herself. But i don't know what i would do without her....
or any of these girls for that matter. They are a part of me, of who i am....i wouldn't be the person that i am without them.
I love you girls and hopefully i'll see you all soon!

A Serving At The Mission
This past Wednesday 6/9/10, Amber and i went and served lunch at the lighthouse mission. We were there at 11:15 and signed in. We then headed to the kitchen to see what we needed to do. We were told to wash our hands with the other volunteers and put on gloves and a hair net. Let me tell ya...i'm not a huge fan of tan colored hair nets lol. Then they put us to work. Amber was in charge of the cooked carrots and i served up their choice of potato salad, cottage cheese, yogurt, or fresh veggies and dip. The residents of the mission were served first and there were quite a few of them. After the residents were served and had time to sit, eat, and visit with one another they dispersed. The public then had the chance to come in and receive a good meal. Both the residents and the public persons were the most polite people i have ever seen in my life. For people with nothing and having to humiliate themselves enough to come to a mission to even receive a hot meal, they were so very polite.....even the children. I know people in my life that have everything they they could possible want or even need, and yet they want more. Tis a sad thing when the ones with non are more grateful then those who live like kings. I am a lucky girl when it comes to family and material things. I have a great family who loves me for who i am and a wonderful circle of friends who always have my back. :) But i am one who has too many not needed material things. I have never had to go without something that was truly needed, never had to beg for a meal, never had to really want something that i really couldn't have.....but when i see those who really are in a time of need and trouble, i feel like the luckiest girl alive. It makes me see what i have and how lucky i am to be supported and loved and taken care of. It also sometimes makes me feel ungrateful and selfish when i have tons and others have none. I want to make a difference in this world and help those who are truly in need. Those who are fighting to survive and those who just need Jesus in their lives. To have him, is to feel whole, connected, and loved. When he is on you side, nothing is impossible!!! I feel like a make a difference just by going and helping to serve a simple meal to Jesus's people. I hope to spread the word of god throughout and show them what gods love has done for me in my life and why they need to receive or keep him in their hearts as well!!!!

Night Time Blues
Here i am again at one something in the morning with the feeling of the blues. I probably should be trying to get some sleep but i can't seem to settle down. I have been having several feelings overwhelming me today. Last week was our spring break and it was great to spend time with friends and family for the week but coming back to school for some reason was extremely difficult. I had a homesick feeling before i even left the house Sunday night to come back to school. I miss my family and life at home all the time and i shouldn't feel this way because i go home every weekend. But i think that this is because i grew up in a close family and didn't ever really go anywhere. Another feeling that i have felt lately is overwhelmed by schoolwork and other activities. Lately i have had a hard time getting back into the groove of balancing everything in my life and this is something that i really need to work on. I have some many other things to write about but for now i think i am going to hit the hay and try to get some sleep.
Till the next occurrence,

His Undying Love

David Crowder : How He Loves
He is jealous for me,Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…
I first time I can remember hearing this song and actually understand the lyrics was the first of January when I started going to BCM on campus. Now its a song I hear often on WBGL. I love the song and its lyrics. It is a really down to earth song and makes you think of what the son offered us when he gave himself on the cross. It is a debt that cannot ever be repaid. But we can contribute to him in the way of prayer, worship, fellowship, and sharing the gospel of the lord with all those around us. I have been neglecting this fact when i get so caught up in school, work, studying, and spending time with friends. I need to realize this fully and change my ways. I need to offer myself to the lord more often. I know people and myself included put materialistic objects in front of our lord and this should not be so. We, they, them, ourselves, me....need to drop those things and go down on our knees and pray for forgiveness and humbleness from the lord. This is a way to connect with god and give yourselves completely to him. I know people who say that they are Christians and believe in the lord but when other events pop up, they forget about their god and proceed with that event. This should not occur. We need to think more about our actions and how they affect our lives before we act on impulse.
My goal for this following week is to think of my actions before completing them and try to glorify the lord in all i do and say. To praise god for the wonderful world that i live in and look around and see the beautiful colors and shapes all around me. To see all the wonders in this world that god has created for you and for me!

Happy New Year!!!! My New Years didn't go out with a bang this year. It was a quiet evening at home sitting on my bed with momma looking at a book magazine. But it was nice not to have to bring in the new year. Yesterday we spent the day a Paula and Steve's house and just hung out and played games and the wii! We left later in the evening after a yummy dinner that Paula made for all of us. It was fun and nice way to spend New Years Eve. Today is January first and it is so nice outside. It is really cold but the sun is shinning so bright and the snow is melting fast. I'm going to go enjoy the day. Later.....Forever Yours!

Dec. 27 11:16am
Hey Everyone.
I just wanted to blog for a few min since I haven't yet lol. So it is two days after Christmas and I think that I am getting to the point where I feel closed in and can't go anywhere. I guess I'm not used to this feeling anymore thanks to the college life of constantly going somewhere and not having to stay put in one place for long. It is snowing....lots. Yesterday there was snow but it wasn't really sticking much but when I woke up this morning, let me tell ya, you can't see the ground. This can be a good or bad thing tho. The snow is really pretty but can cause complications when wanting to get out of the house. We went to church and it wasn't too hard to get out of our lane and get there but coming home was a different story. Not only is it hard to see when driving but there is also about 2 in. now and it is kinda slick. Which makes it hard to stop at STOP signs lol. So now we can't go over to Terre Haute and shop with the family. O well I guess I can get other things done that I keep putting off. Christmas was great and I had a great time spending a week with the family and grandma came for a few days. She left yesterday so she wouldn't have to drive in the predicted snow today. I suppose that was a good move on her part lol. Well thats all for now. Till later....forever yours
